Texas Sen. Ted Cruz made a notable break with Donald Trump Friday when he denounced Trump’s comments that he would make Muslims in America register in a database. A&E aired a concert special about race in America, featuring Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys, Miguel, Pharrell, Pink, and John Legend to bring awareness to the black experience in America, police brutality, Black Lives Matter and raise money for United Way Worldwide. Better product promoter: LaBelle pie fan or Barbie ad boy?

Patti LaBelle‘s sweet potato pies are sweeping the nation thanks in part to a viral video from James Wright who loved the pie so much he even sang in praise (see video below). The Internet is going bananas for a new video announcing Moschino Barbie – the newest Barbie doll done in collaboration with Italian design house Moschino. The video stars a little boy for the first time and he thinks the new doll is fierce.

Facebook just unveiled a new update to its app for breaking up. The feature offers a user choices when changing a relationship status like cutting back newsfeed appearances of an ex and untagging photos. A new service called The Breakup Shop has been called the Uber for breakups and lets you pay a stranger to handle a breakup for you. Which idea smells like the next big thing for breakups?

Is Trump lying about Muslim database?

Earlier this week Donald Trump suggested in an interview with Hunter Walker of Yahoo News that he was open to a database or registration system for for Muslims in the U.S. “We’re going to have to do things that we never did before. And some people are going to be upset about it, but I think that now everybody is feeling that security is going to rule,” Trump said. “And certain things will be done that we never thought would happen in this country in terms of information and learning about the enemy. And so we’re going to have to do certain things that were frankly unthinkable a year ago.” Trump was asked about it again by NBC News while campaigning in Iowa and didn't contest the idea. Trump took to Twitter today (see below) to say he didn't suggest the idea. Do you think Trump is being honest or is he a liar - pants on fire?
