The president and chancellor of the University of Missouri resigned this week amid protests related to racially charged incidents. Students, led by a student group called Concerned Student 1950 (named after the first year black students were allowed to attend UM) who felt President Woolfe did not adequately respond to concerns they had about how to address the situation began to call for his resignation. These protests were boosted by members of the Missouri football team who threatened to boycott their next game. Will the success of the student protests result in significant change on issue of race?
