The NBA decided to move the 2017 All-Star Game from Charlotte over North Carolina's controversial House Bill 2 (aka the "bathroom bill"). The NBA and commissioner Adam Silver have publicly opposed the bill which overturns local anti-discrimination laws and prevents transgender people from using the bathroom they identify with.
