Is Scott Walker being straight about his stances on birthright citizenship and relations with China?

GOP presidential candidate Scott Walker has stated three different positions on birthright citizenship in the past seven days before settling on supporting the policy. He is also calling Obama to cancel the state visit by Chinese President Xi JinPing, causing The Daily Beast to call him “two-faced.”

So, do you believe Walker is being sincere about his positions on these matters?

Should prisoners have access federal grants for college tuition?

President Obama has announced the next step in his plan for criminal justice reform: giving inmates access to federal Pell grants. Pell grants are federal money provided for low-income students to pay their college tuition and do not need to be repaid. Congress banned prisoners from having access to Pell grants in 1994 and the Obama administration cannot lift the ban without approval from Congress, so the Education Department is running a temporary program to test out the effectiveness of correctional education programs for prisoners. The administration believes such a program will provide prisoners with the skills needed to reenter the community and help them “avoid future contact with the justice system and become productive members of society.”

Do you support President Obama’s climate change plan?

President Obama has announced his climate change plan, which mandates a 32% nationwide cut of carbon dioxide emissions by 2030 on 2005 levels, a stricter reduction than the 30% that was previously proposed. States are also expected to comply by 2022. Obama’s plan also emphasizes on making renewable energy happen and will push for a switch from coal and natural gas to wind and solar power. While hundreds of businesses have lauded Obama on his policy that “climate change is not a problem for another generation, not anymore,” others criticize that the plan is impractical and too expensive to implement.

Is Mike Huckabee's new position re. Iran sincere or trying to make headlines?

Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee expressed his dislike of the Iran Nuclear Deal in an interview on Saturday. He compared his forecast of the deal to the Holocaust, saying that Obama’s deal will ultimately “take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven.” Huckabee’s stance against the Iran Deal is very different from his foreign policy back in 2008 when he was also running for president. At that time, Huckabee had argued for engaging with Iran rather than confronting the country. He argued that the US should approach containment when it came to Iraq, because if “we do not put other options on the table, eventually a military strike will become the only viable one.” Huckabee’s new position on approaching Iran makes us wonder - do you think Huckabee is sincerely making these comments or just trying to make headlines?

Should President Obama revoke the medal of freedom from Bill Cosby despite there being no precedent to do so?

During a press conference yesterday, President Obama was asked whether he would revoke the medal of freedom from Bill Cosby. Cosby admitted in a 2005 prescription to giving a powerful sedative to women he wanted to have sex with. But, he has never been charged for the many sexual allegations made against him. Obama replied that “there’s no precedent for revoking a medal. We don’t have that mechanism.” He continued, “I’ll say this, if you give, or a man for that matter, without his or her knowledge, a drug. And then have sex with that person without consent, that’s rape. And, I think this country, any civilized country, should have no tolerance for rape.” There are currently petitions calling for the revoking of Bill Cosby’s medal and people such as executive director of the victims group PAVE, Angela Rose, have stepped forward to call for the award to be taken away. Do you think that President Obama should revoke the medal from Bill Cosby?

The New York Times has reported that the president plans to commute the sentence of dozens of federal prisoners in jail for non-violent drug offenses next week. Do you agree with Obama's decision to reduce these sentences as the first part of his criminal justice reform?

Do you support the Iran Nuclear Deal?

According to President Obama, the Iran nuclear deal is “not built on trust, it is built on verification.” “Because of this deal," he said in his announcement that an agreement had finally been reached, “the international community will be able to verify that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not develop a nuclear weapon.” He made it clear that he would “veto any legislation that prevents the successful implementation of this deal.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu disagreed, calling the deal a “sure path to nuclear weapons” and a "bad mistake of historic proportions"  Do you support the deal?
