Iowa House of Reps advances bill to let kids have guns. Good idea?

This week the Iowa House of Representatives passed a bill that would allow kids under age 14 to possess "a pistol, revolver or the ammunition" if supervised by a parent. The bill now moves to the state Senate. Opponents feel it is irresponsible while supporters believe this is the best way to teach gun safety. What do you think? JUMP IN and vote!

Should court storming be banned by the NCAA?

Court storming is back in the news this week after the University of Colorado fans stormed the court after they beat Arizona. Arizona men's basketball coach Sean Miller is no fan of court storming and spent more than half of his postgame press conference sharing his thoughts on the topic. Earlier this season a Des Moines Register columnist suffered a fractured leg after Iowa State fans stormed the court after the basketball team beat in-state rival Iowa. Do you agree w/ Bill Nye tweet that low gas prices are bad news for solving climate change?

Bill Nye the Science Guy is back in the news. This week Nye, a know an evangelist on environment and climate change issues, tweeted that low gas prices are bad news because "Burning more gas means less time to do something about #climatechange.”  Does he have a point or is he ignoring how cost of gas impacts people's daily lives?
